Movement Matters is based on the work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. After graduating from a Feldenkrais Professional Training Program in 1994, Jackie expanded on the principles to develop Movement Matters: a way to find balance within movement. We have all been told to stand up straight, put our shoulders back, suck in our gut and straighten our legs. This a posture we cannot move freely within, and more importantly, our structure is not designed to move with a tight belly! Jackie's work teaches you how to move in balance no matter what activity you are doing. We are in the process of producing workshops and classes (and DVDs of those classes for purchase) for many different sports and activities in 2008. There are workshops scheduled for special needs children, people 50 and over, spinning workshops, pain relief, and more. All are designed to give you the tools to stay flexible, pain free and at ease for the rest of your life.
